    JOB TITLE:  Assistant Director of Systems Management

    COMPENSATION RANGE:  $60,000.00 Yearly minimum

    DEPARTMENT:  Information Technology, Safety, and Facilities

    DIVISION:  Finance and Operations

    REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology, Safety, and Facilities

    SUPERVISES:  Information Technology Support Specialist

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration and 2 years’ experience or
    • High School Diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience in information technology role, or related field; four years in management or leadership role

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field
    • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
    • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships
    • Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven track record of analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The position is responsible for technical systems administration and support for all NPRC departments. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all classroom equipment is online and functional and providing technical support as needed to instructors, students, and staff.  Primary duties include systems monitoring, maintenance, and technical support for all NPRC Administrative systems.

    The successful candidate is expected to maintain expertise in distance learning technologies, and telecom systems; routinely thinks outside the box to solve problems quickly; provides excellent customer service; has excellent conflict resolution and communication skills; and is organized, reliable, and self-directed.  This position works collaboratively with the Academic, Student Services, and Workforce Development personnel.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Adherence to college philosophy/mission statement
    • Bridge communications between Operations and the other departments/divisions
    • Provide primary support for all administrative systems, including all ERP, CRM, HR, SIS, and Finance systems
    • Install, inspect, and maintain classroom distance learning technology, as needed
    • Provide technical assistance to College departments and staff and resolve problems and issues as necessary
    • Provide technical and logistical class delivery support to instructors and students
    • Meet one on one with department heads to provide technology support and assess departmental technology needs
    • Monitor the Technology Helpdesk and assist as needed, including some scheduled evening coverage.
    • Provide technology training for new staff and instructors
    • Maintain record of technical assistance provided
    • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for instructors and students
    • Provide training support to sites and partners with respect to equipment and technolog
    • Assist with college-wide inventory and asset control programs
    • Other duties assigned

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Valid Driver’s License and consistent access to a vehicle or other reliable means of transportation

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
    • Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History Record Check
    • Federal Criminal History Background Check
    • Training Certificate - Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania

    WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:

    • Office Location:   TBD within NPRC footprint
    • Work hours:  8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday
    • Notwithstanding the office hours, all salaried employees are expected to work 40 hours weekly
    • Work hours may adjust with need to provide after-hour information technology assistance

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Infrequent travel required

    OTHER DUTIES:

    • Perform other duties as assigned
